Girls Softball Celebration

Central Little League is hosting a Girls Softball Celebration to recognize a new milestone in the 6-year-old little league girls softball program: a new scoreboard that permanently recognizes Azalea Park as our home field. The new scoreboard was made possible by a $5,000 grant from the Cav Futures Foundation, contributions from generous donors, and the fundraising efforts of the league participants. 

The Softball Celebration at Azalea Park will include
  • 9:00 am.  Softball Tee Ball game
  • 10:00 am  Scoreboard Celebration Ceremony with Cav Futures Foundation and UVA Softball 
    (All attending Central Softball players will be invited to come on the field for photos with UVA Softball players in front of the scoreboard)
  • 10:30 am  Softball Minors game kickoff with UVA Softball (including announcement of all participating players onto the field and ceremonial first pitch)
  • 10:45 am  Softball Minors game begins. UVA Softball players will be available for autographs and photos.
