Central Little League offers co-ed baseball and girls softball for youth ages 4-12 who live in City of Charlottesville, Albemarle County, and surrounding areas.
4 Divisions of Baseball and Softball:
Central offers four divisions for baseball and softball: Tee Ball (ages 4-6), Coach Pitch (Ages 6-8), Minors (Ages 8-11), and Majors (Ages 9-12). Use the website menu to learn more about each division. A player's 'League Age' and readiness will determine which division is appropriate. Please contact us at [email protected] if you have questions about which division is appropriate.
Central Little League uses practice fields throughout the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County. Baseball home games are played at Pen Park and Charlottesville Catholic School. Softball home games are played at Azalea Park and Washington Park.
Spring Registration is open!
Go to Baseball and Softball Important Dates to find registration deadlines and important season milestones
'Pay What You Can' Registration Fees: It costs the league approximately $125 per player to run the league each season and cover the costs of equipment, field maintenance, insurance, uniforms, etc. In order to offer a 'Pay What You Can' system, we ask for a minimum registration fee of $25 along with a tax-deductible donation of what you can to cover the costs of your player and more. Your donation covers general expenses and our scholarship program to help families who can not pay $125 for their player. We appreciate whatever you can give -- no amount is too small or too large.
Join the team as a volunteer: Central Little League is a non-profit organization run 100% by volunteers. Our volunteers dedicate countless hours to train players, officiate games, run the concessions stand, maintain fields and equipment, and administer the league. As you register your player, please also register yourself as a volunteer and find a role that matches your interest and skills. We can use your help.
