Coach Pitch is the transitional division from T-Ball to baseball. In the Coach Pitch division, the focus is on introducing basic baseball concepts. We do not keep score in Coach Pitch and while the games can be competitive, the rules are modified to minimize strike outs and give each kid an equal opportunity to participate and succeed. Kids get 5 pitches from a coach, then a batting tee is used if a pitched ball is not hit. The tee is usually used only at the start of the season. Games last about an hour and a half. Coaches are on the field with the players during games.
